We love the sweat life over here, but sometimes all we've got is 20 minutes and a yoga-mat-sized-spot for a quick workout. Plus, there's something so satisfying about breaking a sweat in less time than it takes to caption your Instagram. This workout is a quickie but don't let that fool you; you'll be dripping in no time. Chase it with an Après and your bod will thank you.
Après Booty Burn
Warmup: Jog in place for 1 minute and then do 10 burpees
Workouts: Do each exercise for 1 minute with no rest in between. Complete 3 rounds!
1. Squats
Stand with your legs shoulder width apart and do a deep squat, then come all the way up to standing. Be sure to keep your knees over your toes and chest high. Bonus points if you make this a jump squat!
2. Single Leg Glute Bridge
Lay on your back with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor. Lift your right leg off the ground and point your toe straight up at the ceiling. Keeping your leg as straight as possible, lift your hips up off the ground until your knees, hips and shoulders form a straight line. After 1 minute, switch sides.
3. Flying Dog
Come to your hands and knees on the floor. Tightly engage your core while straightening your right leg and lifting it to hip height off the floor. At the same time, lift and straighten your left arm bringing it to shoulder height. Slowly bring both down and then switch sides. In this exercise, you are attempting to move the opposite arm and leg simultaneously. Don't forget to squeeze that booty!
4. Curtsy Lunge
Start from standing, and step your left leg behind you and to the right so that your thighs cross, bending both knees as if you were curtsying. Switch sides with every curtsy.
5. Plank
Be sure to keep your abs and booty tight here. After you finish this, move straight into squats and start again!
Don't forget, this is meant to be a quick, intense workout. Move through each exercise with minimal to no rest in between and remember to squeeze that booty!
